Peru

It’s the presence of the mountains, not only Machu Pichu, but all the mountains that you can feel. Farming, walking, traveling by train, watching hummingbirds. The relationship to the spirit world is alive and well, expressed in the offerings made by Peruvian shamans that are like sand mandala of the Tibetan people, although they have integrated candy and bright papers into their offerings. It is my experience that any culture that has offerings built into daily rituals understands nature’s give and take and humans’ place in life on earth.
