In the three trips over a ten-year period, I have been struck by the shapes, colors and textures of this country, the way that elements (earth, water, air and fire) interact with one another or transform into a different element (ice to steam) as a function of their relationships.

Each time we’ve visited Iceland, we’ve hiked to a glacier that has entirely changed shape with each visit, seeing firsthand that indeed, glaciers retreat.
