This trip in 2012 followed the path of the Buddha. It began at his childhood home, the archeological remains of the palace of Siddhartha’s father, the cave where he practiced austerities after he had left his home, Bodh Gaya, the tree where he sat until he became enlightened, his summer home, Shravasti, where he taught students in the summer months, and Lumbini, where at 84, he died. We practiced yoga and meditation along the way, studied the history and philosophy of India and Buddhism.
